Who's behind AI Course Check

I'm Jake Boland. I live in Dublin and run this site.

I spent almost 10 years at Google in People Operations and now work at an early-stage AI startup, where I use AI agents to run day-to-day operations across HR, compliance, legal and finance.

When friends and colleagues ask which AI certification is worth their time, the facts are surprisingly hard to pin down: exams change, prices move, and some are only open to partner firms. So I built this site to check each one against the issuer's own page.

Every fact here links to the issuer's page with the date it was checked, and no one can pay to be listed. If you spot a mistake or a certification I've missed, let me know.

What does AI Course Check cover?

AI exams from tech companies and professional bodies, plus course certificates and badges, each labeled by type so you can tell an exam from a finished course. For each one I record who can take it, the price as the issuer shows it, how long it stays valid and what replaced what. I don’t rank certifications or publish pass rates, salaries or job outcomes, because issuers don’t publish figures I could check.

Why does every fact carry a date?

Because AI certification facts go out of date fast. Exams are withdrawn or updated and prices change, and AI assistants and older articles often repeat the old version. The date tells you how fresh each fact is, and the changes page lists what has changed.

Which other sites does AI Course Check run?

I also run aicoursecheck.co.uk for AI courses in the UK and ai-courses.ie for Ireland. All three use the same methods, and I edit all three.

Is AI Course Check independent?

Yes. Issuers and course providers can’t pay to be listed or ranked, and I don’t use affiliate links. If that ever changes, the links will be labeled and won’t affect what is listed or in what order.

How are the certifications checked?

Against each issuer’s own page, and I explain the method in how certifications are verified.

Is the site accessible?

It aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If something doesn’t work for you, tell me with “Report an error” or email me at the address below.
