Should you take it?

  • Suits Python developers building generative AI and agent apps on Azure who want the Microsoft associate exam for that work.
  • Not for non-coders: Microsoft expects experience developing apps in Python and familiarity with Azure services before the exam.
  • Agents share the exam with computer vision, text analysis and information extraction, so expect to revise well beyond agentic work.
  • Take the AI Agent Builder Associate instead if you build agents in Copilot Studio and Power Platform rather than coding them in Python.
