What does an NLP course cover now?
Expect transformers, tokenizers and language models. The LLM Course from Hugging Face is 12 chapters, and Hugging Face says "Each chapter in this course is designed to be completed in 1 week, with approximately 6-8 hours of work per week". It has no certificate. fast.ai's free Practical Deep Learning for Coders treats NLP as one topic among vision and tabular data.
Which NLP courses suit work on Azure?
Microsoft's free paths cover text analysis and speech as services you call from your own code, rather than models you train.
Which to start with: if you write Python and want to understand the models, take the Hugging Face course. If your team builds on Microsoft and needs working text features soon, start with the Azure paths. Skip Introduction to AI in Azure (AI-901T00) if you need proof of completion: it is free but has no certificate.
