You can earn a free AI certification by passing Oracle's Agentic AI Foundations Associate exam, though it expects Python. For a free badge, try Google's Introduction to Generative AI.
Which free AI certification should you take?
- You want a real exam: Oracle Agentic AI Foundations Associate (1Z0-1157-26) is free. Oracle expects functional knowledge of Python and basic familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- You work on AWS: AWS Databases for Agentic AI Demonstrated and AWS Securing Agent Identities Demonstrated are free hands-on lab assessments. AWS doesn't say who they are for.
- You are new to AI: Introduction to Generative AI (free, under an hour, with a badge) or AI Foundations (free, 1.1667 hours, with a badge).
- You teach: Generative AI for Educators with Gemini: free, 2 hours, with a certificate of completion.
The catch: a badge or course certificate shows you finished a course. Only the exams test you under proctored conditions.
What counts as free?
Only courses where the provider says both the course and the certificate are free. A free trial, a free course with a paid certificate, or one whose provider doesn't say the certificate is free, is listed separately and not called free.
